Resident Evil Requiem: All 20 Mr. Raccoon Memoriam Locations & Hidden Rewards

Resident Evil Requiem: All 20 Mr. Raccoon Memoriam Locations & Hidden Rewards

Last Updated: April 15, 2026

I nearly finished my first playthrough of Resident Evil Requiem without realizing Mr. Raccoon was even in this game. Capcom renamed them. They are no longer the cheerful toy mascots from the RE2 and RE3 Remakes. In Requiem, they are called Mr. Raccoon Memoriams, and they look like tarnished bronze memorial bobbleheads with cracked paint and hollow eyes. They blend into the environment far better than the bright blue bobbleheads from older titles, and that makes them genuinely tricky to find.

There are 20 Mr. Raccoon Memoriam figures hidden across both Grace’s and Leon’s campaigns. Destroying all 20 unlocks the “Pest Control” achievement and a secret infinite ammo accessory for New Game Plus. I tracked down every single one across three playthroughs, and several of them had me stuck for over an hour before I finally spotted them.

This guide covers every resident evil requiem mr raccoon location organized by chapter, along with tips for spotting them and details on the reward you get for full completion.

What Are Mr. Raccoon Memoriams in Resident Evil Requiem?

The Mr. Raccoon Memoriam is Capcom’s evolution of the classic Mr. Raccoon collectible that first appeared in the Resident Evil 2 Remake. In that game and in the RE3 Remake, they were brightly colored toy bobbleheads that stood out against their surroundings. You shot them, they shattered, and you moved on.

Requiem takes a different approach. The Memoriams are designed to look like small bronze memorial figurines, roughly the size of a soda can. They have the same raccoon shape, but the surface is weathered, oxidized, and deliberately designed to match the environmental textures of each area. In the Care Center, they look like medical equipment. In East Raccoon City, they blend in with debris on shelves and windowsills.

Each one emits a very faint, high-pitched chime when you are within about five meters. If you are playing with headphones, you will hear it. On TV speakers, it is easy to miss entirely. I strongly recommend wearing headphones for your collectible run.

According to information shared on Capcom’s official Resident Evil site, the Memoriams were added as a tribute to the franchise’s history, with each figure posed differently to reference a scene from a previous RE game.

How to Destroy Mr. Raccoon Figures

Unlike the antique coins in Requiem, which you pick up by interacting, Mr. Raccoons must be destroyed. Any weapon works. A single bullet, a knife slash, or even a grenade will shatter them. They break with a satisfying ceramic cracking sound and leave behind a small cloud of bronze-colored dust.

A few important notes from my testing:

  • You cannot destroy them with your flashlight beam despite what some early forum posts claimed.
  • They can be destroyed in both first-person and third-person camera modes. The perspective you use does not matter. If you are still deciding which camera angle to use for each character, our camera settings guide for Resident Evil Requiem covers that in detail.
  • Destroyed Mr. Raccoons stay destroyed across saves. If you break one and then die before reaching a save point, it still counts. This is confirmed behavior on both PS5 and PC.
  • Your progress tracks in the Records menu under Collectibles. You can check how many you have found at any time.

All 20 Mr. Raccoon Memoriam Locations by Chapter

I have organized these in the order you encounter them during a standard playthrough. Grace’s chapters come first, then Leon’s, then the shared final chapters.

Chapter 1: The Old Parish (Grace) – 3 Mr. Raccoons

Mr. Raccoon #1 sits on the organ loft railing inside the starting chapel. After the opening cutscene, turn around and look up toward the balcony. You can see it from the ground floor. One pistol shot brings it down. I missed this on my first run because I was focused on the double doors ahead.

Mr. Raccoon #2 is in the Rector’s Office, perched on top of the tall bookshelf behind the desk. You need to look almost straight up. It is partially hidden behind a stack of old hymnals. The bronze coloring makes it look like a bookend from a distance.

Mr. Raccoon #3 is outside in the parish cemetery. After clearing the first group of enemies near the iron gate, walk to the southeastern corner where the stone wall meets a large oak tree. The Memoriam is sitting on top of a low headstone, partially covered by fallen leaves.

Chapter 2: The Care Center (Grace) – 4 Mr. Raccoons

The Rhodes Hill Care Center is the largest area in Grace’s campaign, and Capcom hid four Memoriams here. Two of them are in rooms you might never enter if you are rushing the main path.

Mr. Raccoon #4 is in the Reception Area. Look behind the curved front desk on the floor. It is wedged between the desk leg and the wall. In first-person mode, you practically have to crouch and look under the desk to spot it.

Mr. Raccoon #5 is in the Hydrotherapy Room on the second floor. This is an optional room that many players skip because it requires the Maintenance Key. The figure is inside an empty bathtub, lying on its side. The green-brown patina blends almost perfectly with the tub’s stained ceramic.

Mr. Raccoon #6 is in the Cold Storage Hallway, sitting on a pipe bracket near the ceiling. Look up as you walk through the hallway connecting Cold Storage to the Filing Room. The chime is louder here because of the enclosed space, so headphones will help you pinpoint it quickly.

Mr. Raccoon #7 is in the Nurse’s Station where you find the Serum for the main story. After picking up the Serum, turn to face the medicine cabinet on the east wall. The Memoriam is on top of the cabinet, partially obscured by a dusty ventilation duct.

Chapter 3: East Raccoon City (Leon) – 5 Mr. Raccoons

Leon’s first major open area is packed with collectibles. The five Mr. Raccoons here are spread across the street blocks between the Subway Station and the Cathedral.

Mr. Raccoon #8 is on the rooftop of the hardware store near the starting point. After Leon drops down from the fire escape during the opening sequence, turn left and look up at the roof’s edge. The figure is sitting on the gutter.

Mr. Raccoon #9 is inside the boarded-up pharmacy. Shoot the planks off the side entrance, go inside, and check behind the overturned shelving unit near the back. It is on the floor, easy to kick right past without noticing.

Mr. Raccoon #10 is in the flooded subway tunnel. Before you wade into the water heading toward the locked gate, look at the tiled wall to your right. A maintenance alcove about head-height contains the Memoriam. You can shoot it from the platform without stepping into the water.

Mr. Raccoon #11 is on the clock tower balcony. After climbing the ladder in the fountain plaza, walk to the south side of the balcony. The figure is behind the water tank, standing upright on a narrow ledge. This one had me stuck for twenty minutes because I kept looking at the north side.

Mr. Raccoon #12 is inside the police outpost that only Leon can access. Check the filing cabinet in the back office. It is not inside a drawer like the antique coin. Instead, it is on top of the cabinet, pushed against the wall. If you already grabbed the antique coin from this room, you walked right past the Mr. Raccoon to get there.

Chapter 4: The Catacombs (Grace) – 3 Mr. Raccoons

The Catacombs are dark and cramped, which means your flashlight is critical for spotting Memoriams. The audio chime is your best tool here because visibility is limited.

Mr. Raccoon #13 is in the first ossuary chamber, tucked inside a skull niche on the upper left wall. You need to angle your camera upward to see it. The figure is sitting inside a skull’s eye socket, which is honestly a brilliant piece of environmental design by Capcom.

Mr. Raccoon #14 is in the rotating pillar puzzle room. After solving the puzzle and the wall passage opens, do not walk through yet. Look at the base of the pillar itself. The Memoriam is wedged into a groove at the pillar’s base where it was hidden before the rotation.

Mr. Raccoon #15 is in the Undertaker’s Workshop, sitting on the shelf above the embalming table. It is behind a jar of preserved specimens. Smash the jar first (knife works) and the Mr. Raccoon becomes visible behind the glass shards.

Chapter 5: The Cathedral (Shared) – 2 Mr. Raccoons

Both Grace and Leon access the Cathedral, so these two Memoriams are available regardless of which character you are controlling at the time.

Mr. Raccoon #16 is in the Cathedral nave, high up on the third windowsill from the entrance on the left side. You need a scoped weapon or very precise pistol aim to hit it. Leon’s Classic 70 rifle makes this easy. Grace can hit it with the handgun but you may burn through a few rounds.

Mr. Raccoon #17 is in the underground crypt beneath the Cathedral altar. After descending the spiral staircase, check the alcove to your immediate left before proceeding down the main corridor. The figure is behind a crumbling stone column.

Chapter 6: The Reliquary (Grace) – 2 Mr. Raccoons

The Reliquary is where the Girl boss fight takes place, and exploration can feel rushed because of the tension. Take your time in the quieter rooms before boss encounters.

Mr. Raccoon #18 is in the display hall, sitting inside a broken display case near the east wall. The case looks empty, but the Memoriam is lying flat at the bottom, partially covered by broken glass. If you are also hunting antique coins, this is the same room where Coin #26 is located.

Mr. Raccoon #19 is in the laboratory observation room, on top of the security monitor bank. It is facing away from the door you enter through, so you only see the back of its head unless you walk around the desk.

Chapter 7: The Requiem Chamber (Shared) – 1 Mr. Raccoon

Mr. Raccoon #20 is the final Memoriam, and it is in the antechamber right before the last boss arena. It is perched above the massive iron doors on a decorative stone shelf. Look up before entering the boss fight. A single shot will reach it. This is your last chance to complete the collection before the game ends.

Which Mr. Raccoons Are Missable?

This is good news compared to the antique coins. None of the Mr. Raccoon Memoriams are permanently missable during a single playthrough. Every room that contains one remains accessible or reopens before the end of that chapter.

The only exception is if you skip optional rooms entirely. The Hydrotherapy Room in the Care Center (Mr. Raccoon #5) requires the Maintenance Key, which is an optional pickup. If you never grab that key, you will never enter the room. But the key itself is always available, so it is a matter of exploration rather than a timed lockout.

That said, you cannot return to previous chapters after completing them. If you finish the Care Center without getting all four, you will need a new playthrough or a save reload. The game does not have a chapter select for collectible cleanup, which is consistent with how Capcom handled this in the RE2 and RE3 Remakes.

What You Get for Destroying All 20 Mr. Raccoon Memoriams

Destroying all 20 figures unlocks two rewards:

The “Pest Control” Achievement/Trophy appears immediately after destroying the 20th Memoriam. On PlayStation, this is a Silver Trophy. On Steam and Xbox, it is a standard achievement worth 30 Gamerscore.

The Raccoon Charm Accessory unlocks in the Bonus Shop after completing the game with all 20 destroyed. This accessory, when equipped in New Game Plus, grants infinite ammo for the starting handgun for both Grace and Leon. It does not apply to other weapons, and it only activates in NG+ runs, not your current playthrough.

This makes the Raccoon Charm one of the most useful NG+ rewards in the game. Combined with the Requiem Merchant upgrades you can buy with antique coins, it trivializes Standard difficulty on your second run and gives you room to focus on exploring for items you missed the first time.

Tips for Finding Every Mr. Raccoon on One Run

Wear headphones. I cannot stress this enough. The faint chime each Memoriam emits is your most reliable detection tool, especially in dark areas like the Catacombs and the Reliquary.

Sweep every room from multiple angles. Many Memoriams are placed at ceiling height or behind objects. First-person mode makes looking up more natural, while third-person mode gives you a wider view of shelves and ledges. If you are playing as Grace in first person and struggling to spot high-placed figures, consider temporarily switching to third person for your collectible sweep.

Check the Records menu regularly. Under Collectibles, the game shows your total Mr. Raccoon count broken down by chapter. If you leave a chapter and the count does not match this guide, reload your save before the chapter ends.

Look for poses that reference older games. Each Memoriam is posed to mimic a scene from a previous Resident Evil title. One holds a tiny typewriter (RE1), another is in a defensive stance with a knife (RE4), and the final one in the Requiem Chamber is posed like Ethan Winters shielding his face (RE7). Recognizing these poses helped me identify figures that would otherwise look like background decoration.

Do not skip optional rooms. The Hydrotherapy Room, the police outpost, the pharmacy, and the observatory all contain Memoriams. If a door requires a key you found, use it.

For players who want a broader look at how collectibles work across Capcom’s biggest franchise hits, the Mr. Raccoon system in Requiem is the most refined version yet.

FAQ

How many Mr. Raccoon Memoriams are in Resident Evil Requiem?

There are 20 total across all chapters. Twelve are in Grace’s chapters, five are in Leon’s chapters, and three are in shared areas both characters visit.

Do Mr. Raccoon Memoriams carry over between playthroughs?

Yes. Your destruction count is tied to your profile, not your save file. If you destroy 15 on your first run and 5 on your second, the achievement still unlocks.

Can I destroy Mr. Raccoons with a knife?

Yes. Any damage source works. Knife, pistol, shotgun, explosive, or even a grenade will shatter them.

Do I need to find all 20 in one playthrough?

No. Progress carries across multiple playthroughs. However, since none are permanently missable within a playthrough, you can get all 20 in a single well-planned run.

Is there a tracker or map for Mr. Raccoon locations in the game?

The Records menu tracks your total count per chapter. There is no in-game map marker for individual Memoriams.

What does the Raccoon Charm do?

It grants infinite ammo for the starting handgun in New Game Plus. It unlocks in the Bonus Shop after you destroy all 20 Memoriams and complete the game.

Can I hear the audio chime in third-person mode?

Yes. The chime plays regardless of your camera perspective. It is spatial audio, so it gets louder as you approach and pans left or right based on the Memoriam’s position relative to your character.

Are Mr. Raccoons visible in the Photo Mode?

Yes. Photo Mode can actually help you spot hard-to-see Memoriams because you can freely rotate the camera and zoom in on suspicious objects. I found Mr. Raccoon #16 (Cathedral nave windowsill) this way after missing it three times during normal gameplay.
