Monster Hunter Rise Pyre Kadaki Spike; The Pyre Rakna-Kadaki spike is a sight to see. Its tip glows, like a flame. In Monster Hunter Rise, you will first encounter Rakna-Kadaki very late in the game, in the seven-star core quest called “Can’t Kill It with Fire”.
The Temnoceran monster can spin you into deadly webs and shoot you at him. Did we mention it’s a huge spider that fire doesn’t work against?
This battle is tough and as a high-level hunter, you will need all the help you can get. Here, we have found the best way to beat Rakna-Kadaki.
How to beat Rakna-Kadaki Spike in Monster Hunter Rise
Use an Ice-type elemental weapon

Rakna-Kadaki strategy in Monster Hunter Rise
As always, prepare properly with a good fire defense team for your fight against Rakna-Kadaki spike.
The best option for fire defense, in particular, is the Rathalos S team that you can craft from the previously wanted level in the high-rank hub. At this point though, you should probably be running a build that is more suited to your weapon type or playstyle, just make sure you don’t have a negative defense value against fire, for this one.
If you can, bring in the part breaker ability as it will come in handy to break his webbed armor state.
Then craft the best ice weapon you can, some weapons have poor options for this at this point in the game, which means you can also stick to whatever weapon gives you the most attack, as long as it’s not a fire-type weapon.
Then eat for Dango Defender, Dango Medic, and Dango Fire Res accordingly. The Rakna-Kadaki is quite a challenge this late in the game, so be ready with the Cleanser, Max, and Ancient potions as well.
When you first meet Rakna-Kadaki, he will be fully webbed, with each of his paws covered. It can spit fire at you from an angle, meaning if you’re positioned to the left or right, keep one eye (or eight) on the monster’s head, it’ll look your way, then engulf you in highly damaging flames.
You can get away from this attack and we recommend making a few rolls just to make sure you get rid of the fire as well. From there, it will try to slide you with its legs and crush you, in case you are under it.

We recommend running to each of his legs, moving between them to avoid Rakna-Kadaki hitting you with his flame attacks, this can be quite difficult, so we recommend carrying a mobile weapon that has an attack that can ignore roars and have armor as a switching ability.
Rakna-Kadaki can also start a beam of multiple nets, which can cover him with nets, even from a distance.
You can use a cleaner to get rid of this or wait for your Palico or Palamute to rid you of this. While trapped, the Rakna-Kadaki can also summon Rachnoids from its egg sac, to push the monster forward at high speed and then try to smash you or hit you with one of its other attacks.
The monster has an additional attack where it will hang from the ceiling and spew fire in a circular pattern across the arena, this one is quite easy to dodge, and when it’s done it will return to the ground. Use a flash bomb to take him down quicker and open yourself up for a small window of damage while taking him down.
If you stay near the monster for too long, it also has a fire area of effect attack. Fortunately, this has a pretty long cooldown, which means you should be able to evade it pretty quickly.
However, if you do get hit, expect a lot of damage. Take a moment to recover with a Mega, Max, or Ancient potion, and keep hitting Rakna-Kadaki in his legs until he starts to break through his web armor. This is where the Partbreaker ability comes in particularly handy.
When the webs have broken, Rakna-Kadaki will slump to the ground and begin weaving a solid egg sac, which is her next main weak point. Use attacks that target his butt and try to dodge his attacks when the sack comes crashing down on you.
He can still use all of the attacks from the previous phase, but he may now launch smaller Rachnoids in formation to throw fire at you. Get in between the Rachnoid fleet to avoid their flames, luckily it has a fairly short range and is easily avoidable.
Rakna-Kadaki will also gain a flame throw attack, in which it marches towards you, just position yourself, or the firebug out of the way of its march, as fire will always throw at an angle.
In addition to this, he will also have a larger web beam, which is very damaging and will catch you as well. You’re pretty susceptible to getting seasick here, so make sure you don’t take too many hits in a row. Web ray is easily avoidable, so once again, rely on your handy firebug to get away and use a cleaner.
Once the egg sac is broken, Rakna-Kadaki will rinse and repeat these two ways. Just keep focusing on breaking the webs and then the egg sac to switch between them. This monster is really tricky and can easily catch new players due to the way it moves and its large size.
Rakna-Kadaki Weaknesses in Monster Hunter Rise
Ice – This monster is only weak to Ice, but resistant to Poison and Blast, so make sure you only pick up an Ice weapon or failing that, a weapon from any other element or plague.
However, you always have a clear advantage when using Ice, and you should be able to create a decent high-ranking one at this point in the game. You can also go for raw damage and equip yourself and your abilities appropriately.
We can’t stress how much easier this fight is made with an ability that has armor and can ignore roars, so if you have the ability to use one of those, go for it, as you’ll be able to ignore a lot of Monster’s big hitboxes with that ability. exchange in particular.
How To Farm Rakna-Kadai And Get The Shell, Silk, Glowing Gut, Rakna Kadai Spike, Monster Broth, Drone Goo, And Queen Goo
You can get everything from Rakna-Kadaki relatively easily, given how often you’ll break parts. As we mentioned in the previous section, Partbreaker is incredibly useful, just make sure you don’t use an explosive weapon on this particular monster, as it’s resistant to blast stacking.
Having a blunt weapon is also a distinct advantage, as you’ll be able to smash its head and abdomen much more easily, so Hammer and Hunting Horn’s main arms shouldn’t break a sweat while farming this monster.
Everything else is easily achieved through breaks or carving. The only part you might have trouble with is the Glowgut, which cannot be obtained as a capture reward, but is dropped as a broken part reward and a carving reward.
Make sure to use Wyvern Riding against this monster where you can, as it will drop a few more glow than usual, which is the only way to get the Drone and Queen Substance materials.
They’re pretty rare, but if you’re looking to KO using a blunt weapon to the head or using flash bombs, it should make life a lot easier. He can also use a mid-hunt trap to hit the KO threshold when he goes off, meaning he can follow up with an additional knockdown if he manages to deal enough damage.
Once again, Hammer and Hunting Horn are the way to go when fighting this monster and it’s pretty tough.
