However, even though he’s worn various green outfits throughout the years, he’s arguably more famous than most of those on this list. For example, he has faced up against monsters like Calamity Ganon, Vaati, and Yuga. When Hyrule is in jeopardy, Link always puts on a brave front.
Our hero’s legendary green tunics, worn over the last three decades, have helped solidify this association. Until Breath of the Wild, Link wore a blue tunic as a fashion statement, but it wasn’t until later in the game.
Regardless, Link from The Legend of Zelda is still one of the most recognizable green video game characters, hailing from one of the most storied and popular series. Even when he was a wolf, Link still had a hint of green in his coat.
Even though only Zitz and Rash are green, these bad boys of Beat ‘Em Up type games should be included. Just like Double Dragon and more recently Shovel Knight, they were one of the early ’90s titles that got cartoons. Even Killer Instinct invited Rash.

Until Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Boogerman was the most obnoxious video game ever made for the family. Boogerman possesses practically limitless capabilities in the far-off Dimension of X-Crement thanks to burp/flatulence and booger weaponry.
There were almost 20 stages in Boogerman, which was a basic side-scrolling game full of nose goblins and poo monsters. As a result, it’s understandable why so many parents disapproved of the game. The cartoonish nature of it was enough to let it go.
5. Luigi’s Mansion from Nintendo
Luigi is widely considered to be one of the most well-liked supporting green video game characters in the history of gaming. Although Luigi has had his games, he is typically overshadowed by his more famous brother, Mario. Since 1985, Luigi has been identified by his distinctive green shirt and cap.
When it counts, Luigi wears his green uniform despite his “cowardly” demeanour necessitating a yellow one. Like his brother, Luigi still has to deal with ghosts and koopas. As we all know, it requires courage to confront one’s anxieties, hence Luigi is the coolest dude in the game.
6. Jade from Beyond Good and Evil
The stoic Jade from Beyond Good & Evil was a sincere seeker of the truth. In contrast to most of the characters on this list, Jade didn’t confine herself to a single color of green. Colors ranged from the headband to the lipstick and jacket she wore. She has a strange green tint to her jeans, as well.
Many saw Jade as a breath of new air when she arrived on the scene. In the past, character creation for video games was focused on a certain demographic. Beyond Good & Evil produced a character that people could connect to instead of simply looking at since they realized that ladies played video games too. Jade was the catalyst for most of it.
I thought it would be fun to compose a piece recognizing those who choose to wear green on St. Patrick’s Day, regardless of how small they may be. The tiny Prince from Katamari Damacy, popularly known as Beautiful Katamari, must be included on this list as well.

Additionally, every sixth game will have a silhouette soaring past the moon. Defeating him (with a Fatality) nets you 10,000,000 points if all the prerequisites are completed. The duel takes place on the pit’s spiky floor. Many of us never got around to unlocking him before Mortal Kombat II provided us with the opportunity to use him in the game.
9. Frog from Chrono Trigger
There are a lot of interesting characters in Chrono Trigger, and Frog is one of my personal favorites. When the party first encounters Frog, he is a temporary member of the group because of his home period of 600 AD. He will not resurface until a few chapters after this task is completed. However, he is still one of the strongest allies you’ll come across.
Even though he was transformed into a green-skinned amphibian, he always wore green armor. Glenn has long, spiky green hair while he’s a human. It doesn’t matter how you look at it, Frog belongs on this list of green video game characters.
Halo’s Master Chief is a soldier who keeps to himself, but when he speaks, it’s in that cold gruff voice that’ll have you melting butter. No matter how close or far you get, it’s hard to miss Master Chief in his distinctive green armour.
As long as there’s an enemy in his way, Master Chief is always ready to take on that challenge. Even though Master Chief is a one-dimensional character, he will always be remembered as a great badass. It doesn’t matter how you look at it, Master Chief is one of the best green fighting machines in the history of the Halo universe, and I can’t wait to see what he accomplishes in Halo Infinite.
11. Doomguy from Doom Eternal
There was a guy in green armour who went about slaughtering monsters and demons simply for the fun of it before Master Chief was ever a notion for Bungie or even a corporation. Yes, the famous Doom Marine wore a similar outfit as the Space Marine seen here. At G FUEL, we’re big fans of DOOM Guy. And he’s coated in green gore… and blood, of course.
